This point of this project is to keep a consistent brand between different package shapes. I am very allergic to regular sunscreen and most hypoallergenic sunscreen is marketed towards babies. I had the idea to make a sunscreen that was all about protection! Protection from skin irritants and most importantly the sun. Most sunscreen bottles are bright colors but this bottle is dark, to demonstrate a protection greater than most. Umbra means, “the darkest part of a shadow,” and I thought this was fitting for the brand name! I illustrated and designed the character on the bottle to be, again, more covered in her appearance to get the theme of ultimate protection across.
